Why choose SGS for asbestos analysis?
We analyze your suspect materials and provide results covered by both our ISO 17025 accreditation (BELAC) and our SPF - ETCS (worker protection).
Analysis results indicate the nature of the fibers present (type(s) of asbestos).
Asbestos sampling guide
You can take a sample (1 cm² is sufficient) and place it in a double plastic packaging (zip bag placed in a second zip bag), then send it to us in an envelope ideally padded (via a courier service adapted for this type of shipment) or drop it off directly at our laboratory.
If you don't have the required equipment, a sampling kit is available as an option (see Asbebox).
How it works
Confirmation email after receipt and processing of order (including optional Asbebox).
Take and pack the sample according to the guidelines described in the sampling guide. Then send the samples to the lab.
SGS Lab performs analysis on received samples.
Results are reported by e-mail within 5 working days of receiving the sample.
