SGS Belgium SA (Gembloux)
Our Gembloux site employs over 60 people in our Industries & Environment division:
Our Soil and Water department carries out soil, subsoil and groundwater studies under license using high-performance equipment, draws up remediation and rehabilitation plans, and acts as an accredited expert for public authorities, insurance companies and numerous industrial groups.
Our Studies department specializes in environmental studies and audits: environmental impact studies, environmental audits, acoustic studies, environmental permits, ISO 14001/ EMAS implementation, etc.
Our Air department measures ambient air and atmospheric emissions of various kinds (dust, heavy metals, PAHs, dioxins, PFAS, solvents, combustion gases, etc.).
Our Asbestos department carries out asbestos inventories, as well as identifying materials likely to contain asbestos. It also offers measurements of fiber levels in air and water.
Our Laboratories: we have an infrastructure of laboratories located in Gembloux, s'Gravenpolder, Antwerp, Beveren, Terneuzen and Vlissingen, enabling us to deal with any situation in the field of chemical analysis.
Our approvals cover sampling and environmental analysis of water, soil, air and waste.

- Approved earthworks contractor G1 (drilling, sounding and injection work)
- Occupational safety laboratory accredited to measure noise in the workplace in relation to action values and exposure limit values by means of sonometry and dosimetry.
