Why an asbestos test?
With the asbestos test, the Flemish government wants to map all the asbestos present as quickly as possible in order to make Flanders asbestos-safe. The asbestos test provides an overview of any asbestos applications present.
Who should have an Asbestat test?
The Asbestat test is not only mandatory for the sale of a house or building older than 2001. The owner must also hand over a copy of the Asbestat test to the tenants during the rental (if the certificate is available).
Asbestos inventory necessary
To get the Asbestattest an asbestos inventory is necessary. This is an investigation into which materials or building components contain asbestos, the condition of the asbestos and how it can be safely managed.
