Why test for formaldehyde?
Following recent warnings from public health authorities, it has become clear that UF foam can sometimes lead to elevated formaldehyde concentrations indoors. UF foam is a well-known source of formaldehyde, but this substance is also released from other materials, such as particleboard.
This test is especially relevant if your home was recently insulated with UF foam (within the last two years) and you experience health complaints such as headaches, irritation or nausea.
